Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 June 2026
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using LocumMY (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who can use LocumMY
LocumMY is for clinics in Malaysia seeking locum cover, and for doctors who hold valid registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC). You are responsible for ensuring your registration and credentials are valid and up to date.
Accounts and roles
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Accounts are either "Clinic" (posts slots) or "Doctor" (claims slots).
Postings and claims
Clinics are responsible for the accuracy of every posting — including dates, hours, rate, incentives, requirements and location. Doctors are responsible for reviewing a posting before claiming a slot. A claim is a request to take a slot; a clinic may confirm or reject it. LocumMY does not guarantee that any slot will be filled, confirmed, or honoured.
LocumMY is a marketplace only
LocumMY connects clinics and doctors. We are not an employer, employment agency, or party to any arrangement between a clinic and a doctor. The locum engagement, including its terms, scheduling, supervision and conduct, is solely between the clinic and the doctor.
Payments
Locum payments and any incentives are agreed and settled directly between the clinic and the doctor (e.g. cash or bank transfer). LocumMY does not process, hold, or guarantee payments, and is not responsible for non-payment or disputes over payment.
Professional responsibility
Doctors are solely responsible for the clinical care they provide and for practising within their competence, registration and the law. Clinics are responsible for their premises, equipment, staffing and regulatory compliance. LocumMY does not verify credentials, qualifications, or the quality of any clinic or doctor, and provides no medical or professional advice.
Cancellations and conduct
Once a claim is confirmed, both parties are expected to honour it. Last-minute cancellation harms patients and the other party — if you must cancel, do so as early as possible and, where applicable, help arrange a replacement. Repeated no-shows or abusive behaviour may result in suspension.
Prohibited use
- Posting false, misleading, or non-locum content (e.g. spam or advertisements).
- Impersonating another person, clinic, or registration.
- Misusing other users' contact details or personal data.
- Attempting to disrupt, scrape, or compromise the Service.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate or available.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocumMY is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from interactions, arrangements, payments, or clinical care between clinics and doctors.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
